In 2015 GaySantaFe.com had the pleasure of interviewing Mark England about his co-ownership of the Blue Rooster. What started as a simple featured business article became something special. Mark opened up about his life and his journey from Georgia to Santa Fe. It was something he wanted to share because his vision for the Blue Rooster was a reflection of the person he was. After living years closeted in Georgia, he found happiness and peace in the community of Santa Fe, along with finding his partner of five years, Doug Nava. Mark believed in accepting people completely as they are. A quality that he and Doug shared and something they brought to the Blue Rooster while it was in operation. Mark will be missed.
