The 7th Annual Closet Ball will be held on Saturday, March 28th, 2015 at 7:30 pm at the Inn and Spa at Loretto in downtown Santa Fe.
From Southwest CARE Center: The Closet Ball is a fun and frivolous performance competition for nonprofessional drag queens in an evening of “transfortainment”. The evening begins with each man presenting himself to the audience in their normal role and then within an hour, magically transforming into a beautiful (we hope) female persona complete with a performance with choreography and music of their choice. Guests of the event vote for their favorite contestant with donations. This year Blue Rooster owner, Doug Nava, will produce this fabulous and unique show that has been a successful fundraiser for Southwest CARE Center. Tickets are $10 with open seating. Proceeds go to the AID & Comfort Fund which provides funding for medical needs of people living with HIV/AIDS in New Mexico. There will be a cash bar.
